Parched Spring
for Maison Rabih Kayrouz S/S '22
For this assignment, the mood board was preselected by the instructor and I was assigned to develop a RTW collection for a brand of my choice, consisting of four full looks. After researching for inspiration, the brand, trends, and the target customer, I summarized the research into a more focused collection mood board, to have clearer direction for ideation and final design.
The concept of this collection is inspired by the rising trend of abstract art prints and graphics for Maison Rabih Kayrouz’s S/S ’22 collection. This exploration of abstract art combines dusty, vintage references of warm colors with playful geometric prints, immediately uplifting core styles to suit a day-to-night setting. Following the classic minimalist trend, this collection merges simple textures and prints with playful silhouettes.
I used a warm, calming color-palette of sun-dried tomato, pecan pie, brandy brown, copper coin, burnt henna, and bombay brown.
