About Me.
I'm Mira Hark, an apparel designer and couture dressmaker. Originally from Lebanon, I'm now soaking in the vibes of Minneapolis.

These elements aren't just disparate components; they're the essence that enriches my projects. Beyond academic pursuits, I infuse my unique blend of interests into my designs. Drawing inspiration from my Lebanese heritage, each creation is a vibrant reflection of cultural influence.

Experiences
2023
Bridal Illustration & Research
Georges Chakra
At Georges Chakra's company, I focused on creating a 2024 RTW bridal collection. I participated in discussions and extensive research on bridal fashion, trends, and consumer preferences. I gained insights into the importance of tradition, innovation, and evolving consumer expectations in bridal fashion. This task involved extensive research, trend forecasting, and creative design. I also engaged in the creative design process, from initial sketches to detailed illustrations. I meticulously illustrated, sketched, and rendered bridal outfits to meet George Chakra's standards. This hands-on project sharpened my skills in trend analysis, forecasting, and creative design.
2023
Assistant Dressmaker
Elie Saab
My experience centered around custom evening-wear in the atelier. I actively participated in the creation of several couture garments from scratch– including a few of the A/W 23-24’ pieces and some client pieces as well. I was tasked with hand-sewing intricate details, such as beadwork, embroidery, and delicate fabric manipulation. I gained invaluable insights into the precise craftsmanship required for couture fashion. From intricate hand-sewing techniques to meticulous attention to detail, I gained a profound appreciation for the artistry involved in creating couture pieces.
